MEDICALLY ASSISTED DETOX

Medically assisted detox is accomplished in a controlled environment supervised by medical personnel around the clock. Some drugs require a slow and controlled weaning, or tapering schedule, in order to reduce the amount of drugs in the system down to zero over a period of time.

DUAL DIAGNOSIS

The term used when a person has a mood disorder such as depression or bipolar disorder (also known as manic depression) and a problem with alcohol or drugs. A person who has a dual diagnosis has two separate illnesses, and each illness needs its own treatment plan.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT

Created for family members to understand people with alcohol abuse or drug abuse problems. Answers questions about substance abuse, its symptoms, different types of treatment, and recovery. Addresses concerns of children of parents with substance use/abuse problems.

Insurance Accepted/ Financing Available

Changing Tides Addiction Treatment accepts most PPO insurance plans for our Detox, Residential (RTC), Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP).

Sub-acute detox still provides you with supervision and a controlled environment, but you are typically allowed more freedom. You can move about the facilities, take walks outside, participate in group and individual therapy and generally have more interaction with the world. As with medical detox, your timetable can range from a few days to a couple of weeks.

The intensive therapeutic services offered by residential treatment centers require individuals seeking treatment to leave their homes and reside in a treatment facility for the duration of therapy.

Day treatment, also known as partial hospitalization program (PHP), usually lasts about 30 days. A PHP provides a less intensive level of treatment than inpatient or residential program, but is more intensive than an outpatient program.

Intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) are treatment programs used to address addictions, depression, eating disorders, or other dependencies that do not require detoxification or round-the-clock supervision.

Sober living homes are group homes that are free of alcohol and drugs for individuals in recovery. They operate like a co-op, where you pay the costs and maintain the home by contributing to the upkeep of the house through rent and chores.
